Following a productive trip to our manufacturing partner Moonraker beds in Somerset, we’re almost set to reveal our new contract range. The guys and gals at Moonraker may not be nurses, but they sure know how to make a bed. We watched the production of all the stages of these traditionally hand-made beds (fascinating!) so now we too know them inside out!

Our 2019 selection hits all quality and price points and addresses most needs, whilst of course complying with Crib 5 fire regulations. The fabric colours, compositions & weaves allow flexibility and design choice. The divan frames are built with an increased level of reinforcement using selected softwoods and hardwoods, and in virtually any configuration – platform or sprung, legs, castors or glides, with a guest bed under, 2 or 4 drawers, or an Ottoman. The unique spring units come with bracing and full rod edge support as standard.

We think we’ve ticked the boxes for hospitality, boarding schools, student accommodation, landlords, residential care homes, hostels and holiday camps. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start with choosing your contract beds, but visit us in the commercial department, and we’ll show you how a bed is made.

Remember the office of the ‘80s and ‘90s? Unless you were lucky enough to be a Barbie Doll, you may have been shoehorned into a white melamine cubicle with a chunky monitor pervading most of your desk space and a stack of Post-It Notes at hand. Perhaps the directors sat in their separate rooms with a solid cherry-wood executive desk and a green leather Chesterfield for visitors.

Fast forward to 2019 and the trends in modern office design feel clearer, lighter and fresher.

The Peter Green Commercial Team took a trip to London to check out some of our suppliers’ latest furniture and found a lot of fun, creativity and versatility for enhancing workspaces. Work booths are popular for dead spaces, desks that rise at a touch of a button encourage movement and accessories like adjustable monitor arms make hot-desking ergonomics easy. The clever use of muted and zingy accent colours with plain matt, textured wood or rich wood finishes give a sense of positive calm.

Not sure where to start with your newly happy space? Visit us in the Peter Green Commercial Department and we’ll show you how to treat your people to that Barbie and Ken experience.
